Star Surf Camp experienced surf instructors will be there to guide you through two hours of surf lessons per day. Do not worry if you do not have a surfboard, as you can rent all the surf equipment provided at the camp. You can also enjoy daily drives to local surf spots. the locations vary depending on the day’s wave conditions. Lastly, enjoy a complimentary massage for your sore muscles after a long day of surf lessons and catching waves.

"I just spent 4 days at Star Rest Surf Camp - it was incredible! The staff , the accommodation, the food it was all so lovely. I was taken care of very well. I was the only person at the camp at the time due to it being quiet season but as a solo female traveller I felt very safe. 100% recommend this camp to anyone. I’ll definitely be back."

"Star Rest Surf Camp was the place where I tried surfing for the first time. The atmosphere throughout the week was amazing. I loved the food and the people. We had karaoke night, played table tennis, and made a fire on the beach. Ibu is a very kind person who was always there to help with whatever I needed. I learned the basics of surfing and enjoyed every minute in the water. It was a great first experience."

"Me and my boyfriend turned up spontaneous at the camp and we still got a spot with a very nice accommodation nearby. We had a really nice time at the camp and could improve in the around 6 days we stayed there ☺️ You have 2 surfs per day - great! Special thanks to Iri, one of the surf instructors. He made sure I felt safe in the water and makes everyone happy with his personality :) The breakfast is also amaziiiing, also the dinner and yoga is very good 😊 The camp feels very cozy, we also really liked to just hangout there :)"

"My partner and I had a great week at Star Rest Surf Camp learning to surf as complete beginners. The accom is lovely, the vibe is chill, the food is great and the schedule is easy to follow. The surf spot is beautiful and very safe with no reefs below. Shout out to Iri who had a very difficult case on his hands with me as his student 🤣 also to Sia who made us feel super calm and Jaso who we only had a couple of times towards the end but such a nice guy. All very knowledgeable about the water and kept us feeling safe 💛 see you next year!"

"Initially planned to stay 1 week- but extended for 2 weeks as enjoyed it so much. Amazing camp- lots of surfing (2 sessions as day) so great camp for improving. Instructors were all incredible - special shout out to Ansa, Fin. Also Marafi who never failed to make us laugh! Additionally the actual camp itself was modern and clean, the food was incredible and staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was very well organised. Would highly recommend if staying in arugam bay :)"

"I had the most amazing 2.5 weeks in Star Rest Surf Camp. Surfing everyday twice a day. I went from a complete beginner to being able to paddle, pop up and balance. The door room was very nice and spacious, there is also an unreal pool which is perfect to relax in after surfing. All the surf coaches are super cool, friendly and unreal teaches. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The surfing lessons were such fun. Yoga and ice bath were a wonderful way to unwind. Most importantly, the team were fantastic. "After a disappointing experience with another surf school, I switched to this one, and I’m really glad I did! I learned quite a lot, and the team is super friendly. They also don't take you to Baby Point, which is way too crowded and not enjoyable for beginners. Instead, they take you to a much better beach, and you might even spot an elephant or two on the way!"
