Welcome to Star Rest surf camp experience! Arugam Bay surf camp is a fun filled surf camp in the heart of Arugam Bay and by joining this surf camp, you will get surf lessons, massage, and all surf equipment required to make your surf camp enjoyable. Also treat yourself to a week of surf and yoga in stunning Sri Lanka. Surf will make your vacation a thrilling one and with the perfect complement, yoga, you will be able to develop skills that are crucial when you first start surfing: upper body strength, flexibility, and endurance.

"I spent four great days at star rest surf camp. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff were kind and accommodating. The highlight of the stay was definitely the surf coaching. The ratio of coach to student was second to none. During most sessions I received one on one coaching, and on several occasions two coaches were on hand to support. So if you’re visiting to learn how to surf better, I would very much recommend the star rest surf camp."

"Just perfect! I can’t really describe it but the camp, people and kindness of everyone was special. This was one of my best traveling experiences so far. I really felt that I connected with the other people at the camp but also with the locals, surf instructors and management. Especially with Ansa (camp Owner). For me as a beginner it was perfect..also the Yoga lessons with meli were very well nurtured to the surfers needs. Stay there, get to know the people and enjoy Arugam Bay as well. You will see water buffalos, peacocks, elephants and monkeys when getting to the surf spots as well! 10/10"

"Got 14 separate days of lessons with my partner. You book a 2 hour block of time, and after transport it's about 90 mins of surfing per lesson. Ansa made sure to stay later for one day with us to make sure he didn't short change us any time. He's a super good instructor, speaks perfect English, and wastes no time. He got us up and surfing within 15 minutes of our first lesson (since we both had a handful of lessons years back). He works hard out there! He's super flexible and easy to reach, so we recommend if you're in Arugam Bay relaxing and want to learn in a mellow environment, give Ansa a call."
